I love the car business because in my first 6 months of working in the industry, all of the stereotypes I’ve heard regarding people in this industry have been proven false except for one. The stereotype that car industry people will say or do whatever to close the deal has actually proven to be true and I couldn’t be more thrilled!
Having worked as a manager in various fields such as banking, insurance, and natural gas, I’ve seen my share of employees that lack passion and true commitment to their work. I accepted this role at EasyCare expecting to encounter more of the same believing it’s inevitable in today’s workplace.
To my surprise, everyone says and does whatever it takes to close the deal in our office because we speak with integrity and embody the willingness to go the extra mile for every customer. This discovery has not only shattered a stereotype, it has simultaneously restored my belief that a diverse group of individuals can work harmoniously having the same level of focus and dedication.
Each day I become more excited to be part of a team, company, and industry that has taught me one of the most valuable lessons in life: Always embrace a new opportunities seeking to dispel all associated stereotypes.
