I love the car business, because, first and foremost I am a died in the wool lifelong car addict. From the day I could speak I named all the cars going down my street, I worked in many aspects of the auto industry until my lack of focus found I had too many cars and wanted more. What a better way for many more to pass through my life. The cars I have owned over the past 40 years would make an amazing museum. As a classic car dealer, I get to experience many cars I might not even be able to afford other wise. My dealership is in the lower level of a major hotel, which is weird, but I never have to shovel snow off them in the winter. And my theft rate is 0. PLUS, I love working 24-7, getting cars repaired that unrestored them selves during the night, traveling to distance placed on wild goose chases, listening to the “my wife won’t let me buy” excuse, the “the dog pressed send on the ebay buy key” and most of all I love losing money on every deal so I can make it up with volume.
Think you have story that's better than Bob Lichty's?
